Palmwater Camp lies at the foothills of the awe-inspiring Grootberg (Torra Conservancy) in the remote, unspoiled Damaraland and it proofed to be a extremely convenient stopover between Swakopmund and Etosha or Kaokoland.
It has prime locality in which to view unique desert-adapted elephant, black rhino and other arid-adapted wildlife, and is the gateway to the spectacular topography and spellbinding beauty of Damaraland.
This great campsite along the Uniab River gives ample opportunity to get closer to the desert-adapted wildlife and nomadic Himba people who survive in Damaraland's starkly beautiful landscape.
The Camp consists of 3 separate Campsites with Ablution Facility (hot water), 'braai' area, big shady trees and water. Since we started leasing Palmwater in May 2012, we have started with cleaning up the whole area, including a beautiful sundowner view point as well as walkways inside the camp. Our aim is to develop Palmwater into a beautiful tented camp and also catering for the Campers en-route to the north-west of Namibia. Another Ablution facility, electricity, tables and chairs as well as a pool are planned in the near future.
Airstrip, Veterinary Gate & Fuel Station in close proximity for your convenience.
