Travelling through wildlife country of mopane and acacia woodland, interspersed by areas of open grassland. Low speed is essential on this route, due to the soft churning sand and the chance of viewing wildlife.
Thamalakane River Lodge is placed on the banks of the Thamalakane River, just 19kms from Maun, and en route to the famous Moremi Game Reserve.
Character en-suite stone chalets, some with private splash pools are positioned in the shade of the riverine forest, overlooking the river.
We offer cool thatched ensuite chalets as well as family accommodation, three double chalets, and bedded tents with a self catering kitchen. There is also a campsite along the river under the shady acacia trees. Families and children of all ages are welcome.

The lodge is situated on a private reserve on the banks of the Thamalakane River with an abundance of wildlife including giraffe, zebra, springbok, ostrich, eland, gemsbok and kudu as well as an extensive variety of bird life.
