'Wild dolphin interaction & research project in collaboration with DolphinCare.Org'
We are situated in the residential area of Ponta do Ouro and offer accommodation for small groups whom are looking to engage with the Dolphins of Ponta. Due to its unique atmosphere, energy and location the space caters for dolphin seekers looking for a quite, soulful, non-intrusive hideaway with direct beach access. The elevated venue perches majestically on the ridge offering spectacular views of Ponta Bay and opportunistic sightings of marine mammals.
Each morning welcomes in a new sunrise over the vast Indian ocean, were coffee and tea is had while scouting for our finned friends before heading out to sea. Prior to your dolphin encounters you will receive an educational and informative briefing detailing the dolphin care code of conduct, safety and species introduction. Each early morning (weather permitting) will be spent at sea in the company of our experienced crew Mitchel, Angie and Diana looking for our dolfriends, monitoring their movements and viewing them both above and in the water. On our return we will enjoy a scrumptious brunch on dolphins deck. The day is then yours to take in everything Ponta has to offer.
Dolphin Encountours was established in Ponta do Ouro during the mid 1990's as a longterm eco-tourism project that would fund the research and conservation of the Dolphins of Ponta. The project is a collaboration between DolphinCare.org and other research & conservation bodies whose aims include the the longterm monitoring of marine mammals within the PPMR.
The Dolphin BeachCamp offers three twin/double sleeper rooms with sea view and direct beach access. We are situated ten minutes walk from the center of the village and main swimming beach. We accommodate 6 guests at a time whom are looking to encountour the dolphins of Ponta.
